No, you do not need a box spring. The box spring is actually built into the bed. The bed is built with double 1-1/2 inch struts that run the length of the bed.
No, the price of the bed does not include a mattress.
We do offer a couple mattress options.
You can purchase your own mattress just remeber Our murphy beds require a standard mattress that should not exceed 12 inches in thickness. We recommend mattress that weigh less than 100lbs.
A: There are straps at one end of the bed, which hold the mattress into place. When the bed is in the upright position the mattress will not move or touch the wall. This allows you to hang artwork on the wall, which will make the bed more decorative when the murphy bed is open.
A: You may leave sheets, blankets, and a comforter on the bed as long as they are tucked in around the mattress before you close the murphy bed. Pillows must be removed before closing.
A: Yes.Since the murphy bed needs to sit flush against your wall, we provide a notch that is 6 Inch HIGH by 1.5 inch WIDE at the back/bottom part of the murphy bed to fit over your base molding (as seen below). If you do not have base molding and do not want the notch, make a comment in the “Additional Notes” box at time of checkout or give us a call. If your notch needs to be larger you can increase the notch using a handsaw or jigsaw after receiving the bed (instructions are provided with your bed aka. Installation instructions). Notches are not to exceed 12 inch HIGH by 2 inch WIDE.Contact us if you have any questions.
Our wall beds are wall mounted, which means they attach to the studs in your wall at the top of the bed only. The Bed sits on top of your existing flooring like a normal piece of furniture. Since the wall bed needs to sit up Flush against your wall, we notch out the back bottom part of the wall bed to fit over your base-molding (as seen below). If you do not have base-molding, please give us a call or email after placing your order.
Please Note that your wall bed MUST be securely mounted to the studs in your wall, or brick / concrete (your wall type). Hide N Go Sleep is not responsible if you or whomever installs your wall bed, does not attach to your wall properly.

Side Cabinet comes fully asssembled
Installation of our wall beds can be done by the customer. We provide step-by-step installation instructions that are easy to follow. It is not uncommon for our customer to hire a Handyman or Contractor to install their wall bed project for them. The installation is very easy. Side Cabinets DO NOT need to be assembled. Side Cabinets are mounted to the side of the wall bed after it is attached to your wall.
Yes we buy back our Murphy beds. We will give a price that will include us coming uninstalling and taking away your Murphy bed. Call us for details.
No we do not do custom colors. What we can do is have the Murphy bed unfinished or Primed, ready for paint.
We can make your Murphy bed without any hardware holes. You would be responsible for drilling and putting on your own custom hardware/handles
We have videos online that show how to uninstall and unassemble your Murphy bed. If you are local we do provide a service to uninstall and also reinstall your Murphy bed. We do not move the bed unless it is in the same building/room.
Before delivery we can provide a COI (Certificate of Insurance). You will need to provide us with the building's Sample COI or set of requirements. We can then have our insurance company create the COI with the buildings requirements stated.
Our team of professionals will take approx 60-90 minutes to install your Murphy bed.
Genrally NO, Air mattresses lack the weight need to balance out the piston. Latex can sag and deform when stored vertically for long periods of time.
YES, because the use real mattresses rather than thin folding pads, they offer the same support as a traditional bed
For a queen size bed you will need at least 89" of ceiling height. If your ceilings are lower, you should opt for a horizontal model.
Standard piston systems require an initial lifting height and pulling force that typically keeps children under 4 feet tall from operating them safely on their own.
